What does money stand for in our lives?

By Ben Philias, special to

Monday December 24, 2012

QC notes: Here is Ben Philias. He’s an entrepreneur by profession. He’s been in traditional or networking business for the past 14 years. He loves making deals as well as leading and inspiring others to grow their businesses. He operates in a spirit of LOVE and ABUNDANCE*.

I went to the Walt Disney Musical Hall Yesterday to see the L.A. Philharmonic orchestra in a live concerto. It was vibrant and refreshing like a long breath of fresh air. But it took me back in a way and got me thinking: how many people would love to be here just to get away from all the “noise” in their lives and allow them a little bit of fun?

What if money was not an issue? What would we do with our time? If we had all the money that we needed how would we live our lives? How would it feel to pick and choose the best neighborhood to move in with our family? How would it make us feel to go to any dealership and buy the car or cars of our dreams? How would it feel to take your loved ones out to dinner as many times in a week as you want to and not order chicken?

Money is a very important commodity. It is placed right up there in the same category” as oxygen and blood”: you need it to live. It might not be on your top priority list, but we all know that it makes life easier to live. If you’re going to be miserable, you might as well be comfortably miserable with some money. If you’re choosing to lead a happy life, money will make it comfortably easy. Meaning to say: money is neutral. It doesn’t make you happy or miserable; it just makes life more comfortable.

Mostly every decision we make is based on money: where we live, where we send our kids to school, the car we drive, the clothes we wear, how we feed our family, our lifestyle: all based on money.

Money doesn’t buy love or happiness, maybe! But, it certainly gives you access to the best things in life. And pretending not to want the best for yourself and your family, it’s just inconceivable to me. Life was meant to be happy. Money is one tool that facilitates just that. Let first get it and use it for what it was meant to be. Lots of peoples depend on us!!!
