The Hill

Getty Images By Scott Wong and Mike Lillis – 05/05/16 08:06 PM EDT   Paul Ryan on Thursday pressed presumptive nominee Donald Trump to do more to unify the party. But the Speaker’s latest public break with Trump has started tearing Republicans apart. Members of the #NeverTrump movement and Trump’s biggest critics on Capitol Hill cheered Ryan’s remarks on CNN that he could not in good conscience endorse or support the bombastic New York businessman at this time. Ryan’s “proving that he’s an honest and courageous leader and not just another politician who quietly falls in line,” vulnerable Rep. Carlos…

Protesters chant ‘Deport, deport!’ as immigrant families enter California

Angry protesters blocked three buses carrying immigrant families to a border patrol processing station in California on Tuesday, the Associated Press reported. More than 100 protesters waived American flags and chanted “USA!” “Impeach Obama!” and “Deport, Deport!” as they waited for the buses coming from Texas to arrive at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection station in Murrieta, nearly an hour away from San Diego. Federal authorities tried to steer away from the entrance, according to USA TODAY, but the crowd blocked the street and forced the buses to reroute to a San Diego border facility. The standoff comes after Murrieta’s…
